Hey, hey everyone. How are you this fine Saturday? Me? I had a hysterectomy yesterday, stayed over night and came back home to a quiet house. The boys and the dog are away until Monday night and I’m taking some mild (maybe not so mild) narcotics to control pain. I’ll be sure to super spell check this article before I hit the publish button. I had actually meant to publish this post yesterday before going to the hospital but I deleted it by accident. No narcotics were involved in that deletion, just stupidity and stress.
Down to business. My ongoing love affair with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint continues and today’s post is no exception. This little dresser caught my eye a couple of weeks ago when I saw it in the Habitat for Humanity store for $55. The top was loose and didn’t fit properly because of a missing piece of scroll work at the back. I ripped the top completely off and re-glued it so it aligned with the back of the dresser. Then I cleaned her up, first with Murphy’s Oil and then with TSP because she was filthy. Even the handles felt greasy and sticky. Poor thing. Clearly came from a neglectful environment.
