Up-cycled Gift Bags Turned Easter Art

I was getting groceries at my favorite Loblaw’s store a couple of weeks ago when these $1 bags caught my eye.  I grabbed three of them just because they were cute and I like the colors.

And I’m glad I did because, time wise, I’ve been a bit of a fail when it comes to getting my craft on this Easter season.  I’ve been a fail at putting things away too so these bags have been lingering in the kitchen for awhile along with some extra frames from my gallery wall (still in progress) (ugh!).

And that’s when it hit me!  Wouldn’t they make cute little Easter pictures if I just cut out appropriate sizes and framed the bags?  So I did just that.

There’s the first one, all snipped and framed.

Then I cut out the little blue bunny and his carrot and glued them on to some scrap book paper and framed those as well.

How stinkin’ cute are these little pics?  Seriously, cannot believe I haven’t thought of this before.  Total cost?…. $3 for the bags.

This was a quickie post today….the boys are actually awake and behaving.  Translation, Bubs is not screaming and crying (he’s a fussy guy) and Charming is quiet without getting into the trash, make up bags, purses, and other such nonsense.  Who knew this day would ever come?  I’m not pushing my luck so we’ll head back to our regularly scheduled noisy, craze induced Sunday morning now.  Happy weekend everyone.

Visiting my regular parties to share the Easter fun…
