Navy and Yellow Flip Flop Wreath

Last week I came across this adorable wreath from Keep Calm and Decorate. So cute and original and I knew I wanted something just like it. Or at least close to it. Navy and yellow just scream summer to me.

Seriously?  Is that not just the cutest darn thing? Dare I say it?  She had me at “hello”.

So because I haven’t been able to find anything I like for my front door since my spring/Easter egg wreath, I couldn’t wait to make one of my own.  I didn’t bother to put a tutorial since Melissa did a great job with hers.  Also, since I made the wreath while the boys were eating dinner in their high chairs, I was kind of in a rush.

I already had the navy and white polka dot ribbon in my ridiculous extensive hoarding collection of ribbon.  I grabbed it from Michaels when ribbon was 50% off.

Same goes for the green foam wreath. It was just hanging around collecting dust in my basement.  I picked up the flip flops and daisy from the dollar store and got to work with the glue gun. (I’ve added online shopping links at the bottom of this post if you want to shop for supplies without leaving the house)

I had the glitter letters on hand as well and spray painted them yellow since the glittery white finish didn’t quite have the look I was going for.

Seriously. Love. This. Wreath.  And it took zero time and energy. Mostly because Melissa did the thinking for me. Thanks for the inspiration, girl!
