Dressers aren’t just for the bedroom anymore and we’re seeing them used in every room you can imagine. We use one in our living area to hold dvds and office supplies and one in our playroom for toys and more dvds. Dressers are pretty much my favorite piece of furniture to paint because they’re so dang versatile, you can customize them to match just about any decor, and if you’re good at bargain hunting, you can pick them up on the cheap.

  1. I love all these ideas, the one painted like a VW van and the bright pink ones are my favorites. I have been wanting to paint my son’s dressers, thanks for the ideas. Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup. Pinned to our linkup board.

  2. These all look amazing! My faves are the ship and the VW bus! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Share The Wealth Sunday!

By the way, since you do so much of this, is there a particular brand of paint you prefer to use when you redo furniture? I’m about to embark on my first project (a small sidetable) and wondered what the experts used. 🙂

    • Hi Lisa

I’ve been using mostly Sherwin Williams paints for the past couple of years, although I’ve tried most brands in the past. I’ve stuck with Sherwin Williams because they can custom tint any brand but they also have the best prices, particularly when there’s a sale. The paint goes on smoothly, too. Looking forward to seeing your project!

  3. Wow these are amazing! I love the volkswagon camper van and that Ikea hack makes me want to go out and buy that dresser right now. I really need to get more creative 🙂

  4. Jenna, I love these! That VW Bug is so cool, as well as the robot. But since I don’t have any little ones I would go with one of the bright colored dressers! I want one in my entry way that it turquoise, but I want to find one with some cool detailing. I always hated all the detailing in a plain wood look, it made it to heavy, but slap on some bright colored paint and I love it! LOL Who figured?
